Controller/handheld support?

Me and wifey playing everything on our ROG Ally's and since this game has coop, we are thinking about giving this game a try.

Does anyone know, if it comes with controller support?

To anyone still unsure, if BG3 got controller/handheld support: Yes, to both!


We decided to just buy the game and try it out ourselves, since nobody seemed to know the answer. Xbox series controller is indeed fully supported with our ROG Ally's in docked mode as well as the inbuilt controllers without the need to adjust, using a steam controller layout or other 3rd party programs. It automatically switched to the Xbox button interface by pressing any button on the controller after we started the game.

Its awesome not having to ask the devs first, sending tickets, posting suggestions, etc. just to get these "maybe" supported. Compatibility right from the get go! The game is an amazing piece of art on top! Other dev studios can definitely learn a lot from Larian. THIS is quality gaming!

It has native controller support, proper prompts for xbox and ps. Also has support for Switch controllers but the prompts are backwards (x <--> y, a <--> b).
