Are you going to cheese the game?
So many mechanics allow you to cheese, break or undermine encounters entirely.

Are you going to do this or play like a normie?

You ever thrown a goblin off a stack of 50 boxes into another goblin....like a missile.

I might push and throw certain encounters to their deaths, not sure if that counts as cheese? I'll throw potions on allies that are downed and swap items in my inventory when needed? Is this cheese?

I'll be pickpocketing everything I can like in DOS2, especially the undead guy in camp because you will get Resurrection scrolls from him (at least in ea)
At some point maybe. Personally I don't necessarily think so. I lean towards Save Scumming as cheese.

dialogue options and rolls, right? Because failing encounter and loading is not save scumming, right? I used to do that though, in some games, but I try very hard not to because it leads to interesting outcomes. But it's so tempting, especially when you want to experience as much as possible.

I'm here for the cheese.

probably the only cheese i'll use is:

go behind enemy with my astarion rogue, bonus action hide, sneak attack with adv

that's it lol

also Great Weapon Fighting with fighter Lae'zel and greatsword, that's already broken in 5e lol

How is that cheesing when it is a game mechanic designed for that purpose?

I am most definetly going to throw cheese in the faces of my enemies

If there is a storyline that a person really wants to see go a certain way because they don't want to miss that story so they reload sometimes to get that outcome, no I personally don't see that as save scumming. I would guess most players wouldn't.

Save scumming is a slang term for abusing save slots to make the game easier. One could apply it to dialogue rolls technically but those are mostly roll based where strategy does not play as big a part in the outcome of success.

For combat save scumming, in my opinion, if it is so difficult that a player needs to save after nearly most/every good roll outcome turn, they should probably just check their ego and drop the difficulty down a click. They would enjoy the game more, if and only if, they can check their ego first.

With these kind of games I'm in the minority that plays them as entirely a turn based tactics game and doesn't care for role play at all. I'll be min maxing unless there's a full cheese strategy that wins by miles and if that's the case I'll simply refund the game.

Icewind Dale 2 was my all time favourite DnD game for letting you create your entire party from the start and it had difficulty settings that matched someone playing a full min max party as well as an entire act dedicating to punishing you for using wisdom as a dump stat.

If an enemy is dumb enough to stand near a cliff.... Guess what?
Same goes for barrels, liquid, fire, pushing people into other people, using chairs, desks, tables as improvised weapons... Yes you can do all this. And oh I will YES I WILL!

Edit: Yes you can use the throw command to throw cheese... and pies... oh my!

you might be refunding then. Every encounter AND I MEAN EVERY ENCOUNTER in EA act 1 can be cheesed entirely to the point that some fights are over before combat starts and others can be 1 turned.

Isn't there a specific barbarian ability to launch goblins like missiles in this? lmao

It's TB, everyone is cheesing some fights at some point, somehow. Be it using dumb AI to lure them out of position or w/e.
I cheesed Baldur's Gate 2 the most, as the last playthrough I was playing on maximum difficulty with mods like Stratagems of the Sword Costs on. RTwP has even more cheese than TB, you can kite a mob around for 20 minutes while being able to hit only on rolling 20, such a fight in TB would be so long that no one in their right mind would do it.
