How do you think, what's the best class for solo game?
I want to beat bg3, at least in my first walkthrough, completely solo, preferably on tactician diffuculty. And without any dark, evil powers that would imminently make my fate worse than being a living corpse at the ending. So, no dark urge (if only suppresing it wouldnt give some big bonuses, like with suppresing your soul hunger in nwn2 motb) and ofc no mind flayer's powers.

So, what's your opinion about good solo class? Personally I think that it must meet at least 3 conditions:
1) Having at least 13-14 (dont know for sure) strength to carry barrels
2) Having Thunder wave and Jump (1 level spells)
3) Having Friendship focus or getting nice pluses to the Persuasion or Deception checks

Some kind of sorcerer just with a item like cridle of giant strength would be perfect but I don't think devs would place such an artifact in first act

Best? Hard to tell. Depends on if you savescum, respec and many other things too.

Half wood elf Warlock 2/Thief 4/Sorc 6 is pretty good.
Pally 2 abju wizard 10 probably. You're invincible and got mostly fullcaster progression for slots so you can pump out MASSIVE smites.
Tempest cleric/sorc. Completely breaks the game
Well, in act 1 you should have yourself a cleric, a rogue, a wizard, a fighter, a warlock, and a barbarian.

They should already cover most bases, but that still leaves the bard, druid, paladin, ranger, and sorcerer if you wanna round out your party without hirelings.

I'll fully admit I've never run one in game yet, but my money is on the Bard being a good choice. They're a jack of all trades and have the jack of all trades ability to prove it.

Otherwise I've been happy picking an archfey warlock. They're very flexible, my character plays much differently than Wyll, and the spells they get are extremely useful.

Either way both use charisma which probably has the most checks.

You also need a dip in wizard.

Not a fan of paladins from the one I've run in DnD.

They're extremely powerful in short bursts, but I don't think they're very fun as they have no room for flexibility compared to other classes.

You basically just smite.
1 sorc, 1 cleric, 10 wizard is nigh untouchable. Take white dragon and laugh as your enemies kill themselves on your shields while you have every spell in the book.
I'm doing a full team run, but the tactics i'm using would work just as well solo.
Basically rogues with expertise in stealth. Get Thief as your subclass because it's too convenient.

If you stand at max range and sneak attack from stealth, most of the time enemies won't even attack you. They skyrim-style stand around acting like their friend was killed by the wind. And if your whole party is hidden, the enemies won't even move on their turn, they just stand there waiting to die because they have nothing to go after.

I got a full team of rogues and we assassinate and pickpocket our way to power and riches. Easy peasy so far.

With thief subclass, you can stealth bonus action at the start of your turn, sneak attack, then stealth bonus action again after. So even if somebody gets revealed by something weird, you can still stealth up again and end your turn stealthed too.

It's absolutely busted, but honestly it's pretty realistic because if you're just standing around minding your own business and suddenly half your group dies and you never saw anyone shoot or where the arrows were coming from, what could you even do to survive such a circumstance except try to hide before you get murdered. And it wouldn't matter if they did.
I like moon druid for this. You can be pretty decent at anything. You can tank with wildshape, melee with wildshape/shilelliegh, be a full dps or support caster depending on what you need.
i solo`d the game with halfling monk on dark urge. was fun and monk is strong.

You wouldn't get help, get more eyes on your surroundings, and mob the guy killing everyone?

Really the game is super unrealistic just in the regard that you can kill Priestess Gut, then like 3 days later nobody realizes she's dead yet.

Man the first time I did it, I was expecting the camp to go on high alert once she was down so I put it off so long.

Of course poisoning the beer did it.
