Please tell me Us survives the crash

I became good friends with an intellect devourer named Us while in the tutorial zone, and i have grown quite fond of him, but havnt been able to find them since the crash. Has anyone else found my friend post crash? Also, while im here, is there a button to highlight interact able things in the world?

US is dead from what Ive heard and you can hold Alt. Also holding Alt was taught in the tutorial so how about doing that next time

i did the tutorial, nothing about that ever popped up. and i passed a medical check to cripple Us and make him subservient, would be weird if that never got actually brought back up, as if you dont do the medical check and dont cripple him, the same thing plays out minus the narrator telling you that he is subservient.

but then why give us the option to cripple him and make him subservient? cuz if you dont and just free him he follows you and is your ally either way

There should be little pop ups on the right side of your screen as you play through the tutorial, at least there were for me so that how i found out about it

i passed a medical check to stick my finger in it and cripple it to make it subservient to me, this is extra on top of freeing it, it follows you either way, but it specifically said that since i crippled it, it wouldn't be able to betray me
