Ahh Everquest theres another great game to take me back. I played BG1 when I had no D&D knowledge and thought a wizard just ran outa spells when they were used and had no idea how to get them back(or if they even came back) lol.
they undoubtably improved upon the graphics (i'd hope so after 2 decades) and fixed the gameplay to be closer to D&D's, so i have no major complaints at least from EA, how well the story actually is i can only say after i get to see it fully
Are you kidding me? I so badly wish I kept the boxes and content. For $20-$30 you got real value. I'm kicking myself.
Lol thank goodness I wasnt the only one. I picked it up after a year or so later and after I played some D&D and retried that "worthless" wizard and had a blast lol.
Cut my teeth on the gold box games that basically taught me rudimentary D&D.
"So sayeth the wise Alaundo."
If you have some time to kill before launch, I'd recommend anyone unfamiliar with "Descent into Avernus", the D&D campaign, to check it out. It was released as a prequel to BG3 and the events of BG3 take place directly after the events of the campaign. It's not necessary to know the story in order to enjoy BG3 but having played Act 1, I felt I received a lot of benefit from doing so. Searching YouTube for "Descent into Avernus" yields several results of people doing story narrations or summaries for this purpose.
Liked Icewind Dale - more combat
Played them dome again when the enhanced versions came out
Total good time
Hey! Just curious what your in game name was? I was one of the people that came from the original Baldur's Gate Chat Forums and founded CotG (Lythander, then later Rolzz) with Moon, and others.
