Any good dragons?
Sick of games that constantly demonize dragons. Tired of all the ignorant hate and murder hobo mentality against them in gaming. Tired of writers always making them the standard copy and paste villains. We can be good guys and loyal companions you know.

EDIT: Was a fun discussion. But I'm tapping out for now. While I could have just googled the answer, I wanted a community opinion, and not some random babble from google. Than you for the insight, and the responses.

The lore states that Chromatic dragons, the ones based on colors like red, green, white, black, are typically more evil or greedy monsters.
The Metallic dragons, ones that are bronze, silver, gold, are typically more good aligned.
Now there are exceptions in these cases likely, or ones that technically fit good or evil, but depending on how you view their choices in following their creed you may disagree, but that's the basic gist of it.

It is lazy and simple to use them as rawr burn burn burn devices. Effective, but lazy.

Don't be surprised if there's a gold dragon that we bump into that's disguised itself as a begger or some such. That's also a common trope.

But who knows, right? The setting isn't about dragons so it's not super important either way if others show up.

... and red dragons are pretty much about that rawr burn burn life.

Ah. Thank you. Yea I was going to start reading, but forgot XD. I remember something like that when I tried to get into D&D a while ago.

Who cares? Also plenty of games have had good dragons. You are the murder hobo killing everything that moves even for no reward
Reason I played Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward. And who's a murder hobo? I'm the one fighting against them XD.

I do find it kinda entertaining a dragonkin is asking this though. Most Metallic dragons are good aligned, but i believe its generally due to the fact their more intelligent thus having a better grasp on being reasonable.
That makes sense.

One of the reasons I like Ebberon so much is that Dragons there run the gamut on alignment , regardless if Chromatic or Metallic. Way more interesting imo.
I'm unfamiliar with Ebberon. I'm assuming that's a major dragon location? Is that in the forgotten realms or somewhere else?

It is its own game setting (a la Forgotten Realms/Dragonlance, et al). Its the setting Warforged originate from. And Artificers iirc. Its very lowkey magitekpunk type setting.

Ah I see. Was thinking you were referring to some kind of neutral ground for dragons so long as they don't go at each other's throats. I know little of the alternate versions, mostly the main official one.

Just did a quick Google for that. It seems like an interesting read. I will save that for later. I won't get into playing it, but I will enjoy reading about it.

Red dragons, those are not the good kind.

Merely evil fighting evil.

Oh man, reading that kinda makes me wonder if thats what their conveying early on in the EA. With the demons fighting you join with the MindFlayer for that fight, makes me curious if it'll be a theme.

it possibly could be! seeing the many moral choices you can make including taking on mindflayer powers.

Terrible choice of armor. Anyone with a spear or pointed object will ruin your day and destroy that pretty armor.
