For example if an NPC doesn't like your race (Drow) and doesn't want to talk to you, you can disguise yourself.

Speak With Dead allows you to talk to corpses unless you were the person that killed them. Disguise Self changes your appearance and tricks corpses into talking with you. This also may work with the Friends cantrip to prevent them from becoming hostile but I haven't tried that one.

There are also locations where only tiny races can enter. I have not tried it but Disguise Self may allow you to turn into a halfling and crawl inside like in Divinity 2.

You can get other racial dialogue option. Like turning your self drow will let you trick many goblins that you on they side.

Other one is talk to dead spell. Dead dont want to talk to they killer. So after you killed enemy. You swap your race and then you can get information because they dont see you as they killer.

Swen himself said that Halflings are good for throwing. I will follow his suggestion and throw away all the Halflings I see. :D
