They really don't do DLC in general
I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they ended up doing it for this game, but I don't truly expect them to.
Yeah, a lot of Larian's DLC, like Sir Lora, is half-assed, but so is adding a few unique class features and reusing spells from other classes.
Because it's the only official class that's missing. I don't think anyone's realistically holding out hope for a homebrew class to be implemented in a game that otherwise only features official 5E content.
Blood Hunter ist homebrew? When I google "Dungeons and Dragons 5e classes" the Blood Hunter is listed in at least the first three search results. Why is that when its a homebrew class?
If you take the time to click on the class in the first result, which should be D&D Beyond, there's a big red text clearly saying "THIS IS UNOFFICIAL MATERIAL". The reason it's there is likely because it's a class created by Matt Mercer for what is essentially a huge promotion campaign (Critical Role) that's making them (WotC) a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money. But no, the class isn't officially part of the game nor is it permitted in the Adventurers League events most of the time. The closest equivalent you'll find would be an Unearthed Arcana class that, which the Artificer was until the release of Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything.
(The second link clearly state it's 3rd Party material and the third link is clearly the equivalent of a game journalist doing barely any research and just pasting without understanding.)
Thank you for clarifying. Wasn't aware of that :)
