Monks and flurry of blows in this game?

Hi. I just read at fextralife about the monk flurry of blows ability: " Spend 1 Ki to make two unarmed strikes. Toggle On to use your Dexterity instead of Strength for the attacks. "
In pen and paper version of 5th edition DnD I remember that the monk could ALWAYS use dexterity modifier for attack and damage rolls as long as he/she was proficient with the weapon he/she used for the attack and it wasn't a large or two - handed weapon, and NOT ONLY when he/she performed the Flurry of Blows class feature. Does the same deal go with the monk class in this game? And what about the Way of Shadow monk subclass?

Well, we won't know until tomorrow, but I'm gonna guess you can always use Dex for your Monk Weapons.
