Considering they (I'm assuming you mean Larian here) can do literally nothing about the speed of anyone's internet downloads, I'm guessing option B. Just like everyone else.

But everyone here is telling people to delete their early access versions and download the complete 122GB version because its a whole different game. In which case, why can't the 122GB version be pre-loaded.

Ye, i've suggest you to delete EA files, cause Larian said that the release build drastically differs from EA so it will be removed, not updated anyway.

From what I read there is no pre-load on steam for EA games. For early access the game gets replaced by the final version and I think Steam just won't have both at the same time.
