But that was their intent not to bribe people to buy the game because of some discount.
So far 0.46 per hour.
How much do you pay already ? to see 1.5 hours of the last marvel using the same scenarios for 10 years ?
In 2021, they had to release a statement that the game would be delayed another two years due to issues stemming from the pandemic, microprocessor shortages, and other issues with the gaming industry. You're looking at a game that might have died during EA if not for the foresight to expand Larian to accommodate more employees instead of shutting things down and cutting their losses. The game was supposed to release end of 2020 if I'm not mistaken, but they delayed the game twice since Covid-19 royally messed things up.
Larian has my money, and I hope they spent it well. Tomorrow, I'm going to have more fun than I've had since I first played any DnD video game. They didn't give up on this game, and I'm not giving up on them. EA was a blast, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to cherish my time in the full game as well.

This is precisely THE reason why it affected Larian so hard. They were already transitioning new equipment and new workers. Those people -- as you also admitted the world being affected -- were also being affected by the same things that affected us. Did you think Larian workers lived in a vacuum while the rest of us suffered? Like I said, the microprocessor shortage didn't just affect XBox or Sony, it spilled across the entire planet. Imagine you're in a phase where you're working on engine tweaks and combat code, and you need new systems to accommodate new workers for ongoing up-sizing at your company. Then Covid hits. Some employees either lose their lives, are stuck in quarantine situations, forced to work from home, or a myriad other reasons Covid-19 made life miserable for any one of us. The processor shortage is just one reason in a plethora other reasons why things went bad enough. At least they were transparent about it.
They had to grow from 120 to 400 people -- that's compared to Bethesda's 420 employees in 2021. Even with setbacks the whole development cycle took seven years, which is on par for how long a Bethesda game is usually in development for. If anything, Larian did a crazy good job for the strain.
For contrast (comparison really)... Starfield has been in development for exactly seven years, and it also had two pushbacks. Mull that around in your head a quick sec.
Why shouldn't it be full price?
cuz it's not full release game, why should one pay full price for non full release...
imagine telling someone to use better "bait" for trolling on a non trolling post, quite the IQ you got going there
