You are looking at cleric>pal>bard prolly.
I believe Bard would make a great alternate choice.
Cleric or anything else that can focus on heals. The first areas are a bit forgiving, but it's going to be risky (and possibly frustrating) trying to go further with just potions.
This video is very innterresting:

Magical healing is over-rated and a waste of spell slots in combat.
- Healing someone who has more than 0 HP is a detriment to your Action economy.
- Enemies deal more damage than you can heal so it's rarely a net benefit
Healing is mainly used to pick up allies with 0 HP. A benefit to your Action Economy.
This makes Healing Word the only useful healing spell in-combat since it's a ranged Bonus Action. Healing potions can also be thrown as a Bonus Action and heal in an AoE circle. Healing Potions are also incredibly plentiful.
The other exceptions are:
Paladin - Lay On Hands
6th Level Spell - Heal
These two heal more damage with a single Action than enemies can dish out.
Out of Combat Healing spells are even less useful:
- A BG3 Short Rest heals half of your health, which you get two of
- Bards give the party a 3rd Short Rest
- Long Rests are also plentiful
