Good news! You don't have to give a ♥♥♥♥ about cosmetic items.
Crazy stuff, that.
Marketing, that is.
Probably will leave a negative review for the game because of this. Disappointing to see Larian do it.
Will probably be released later for everyone anyway, as it happened a few times already.
I might even get the free stuff, even if I don't use the free stuff, as it's free stuff and I won't be playing right away (30-60 minute download estimate for me). So, why not?
Wait, what how does this make any impact on your enjoyment of what is a single player game(I wont be getting these drops or whatever the OP claims)... But yet you will claim you might leave a negative review based on such... Hey lets not base our veiws on the actual game when its released, but if I got a stu*** drop in a totally irrelevant site that is viewed by a faction of gamers... For as I say again a SINGLE PLAYER GAME(unless you have friends playing co-op and wanna flex saying "err yeh I ot this because I watched Twitch", then well...)
Regardless, it's free if you really want it. Don't understand getting up in arms over it.
Out of curiosity, is there a pointless overpriced 'deluxe' edition as well? Will we see an 'ultimate' edition down the line that lacks some DLC and is therefore incomplete? Time will tell, but they've shown what path they're embarking on.
It's content that is locked away behind additional accounts and services. No matter how minor you think it is, it's a scummy move and not something I agree with or support.
It's my right to leave a negative review for something that I feel is anti-consumer and just opens the door even more for worse going forward. Some might not agree with that, or feel like they would do the same, but oh well.
I don't have interest in watching other people play video games either, but I like cosmetics and I'd want to get them, but not enough that I'm willing to sign up for additional accounts to get content that should be included in the game. I'll just leave a negative review instead.
And no, it's not "free". Signing up for accounts and "watching" people playing a video game is not free. I'd rather pay $10 for it than sign up for Twitch and watch some goof playing two hours of a game I bought.
How would that make any sense? The point of twitch is to spread awareness. Forcing people who've already bought the game to watch twitch in order to unlock critical pieces of the game they already paid for would be a very odd marketing decision.
