Can you solo on this one easily?
I'm a casual RPG player and while I tried I couldn't easily progress through other D&D games with a whole party to manage, as I'm way to used to solo and develop one unique character.

I'm wondering how Baldur's Gate 3 fares for solo players, I do expect it to be a bit harder but not too much, this is why I want to know if the game can be completed by an average player with one character alone.

Please be gentle ;)

There is always the same amount of XP you get from a fight/exploration/quest for every character, so when you solo you get 1000 XP from that encounter and if you have a party of four, everybody gets 1000 XP.
The only benefit is gold and loot, you can sell more stuff and get better equipment when solo.
If this is more valid as a stategy than having three buttnacked followers with you with the same strategy is to be seen.
I doubt it. Maybe you can play story mode. Combat is turn besed, so you have all the time you want. But you are solo, so you have to be perfect... So you skipped three followers and their quests and flavour to micromanage everything in battle perfectly to play solo. I don't know... Maybe just take three followers.

Only in the beginning. I did not want to burn out so I am not quite sure what TT rules still apply ingame. In TT though it is a dex check that you need to do and can fail.

On your turn, you may use your action to take the Hide action. When you do so, you will make a Dexterity (Stealth) check. If this check is successful, you'll gain the benefits of being an unseen attacker.

I know how it is in DnD 5e, but that is not what Larian did in BG3 EA.
So stealth was easily abusable in that version of the game.

More power to us I guess. I don't mind.

Then I guess if there isn't an option to then this RPG isnt for you, sadly(If they have then I'm not sure what is the issue is and the whole point of this thread) .... I have never even considered these things, being an old ADnD player and always have enjoyed the whole group dynamic(even if some of those players annoyed me at certain times).

I'm trying to solo on tactician difficulty at the moment. After 2 hours in, I already know that I might not succeed. Another game where I'm forced to endure sidekick I guess :/

Someone will eventually beat the game solo. You are going to be doing a ton a save scumming reloads to figure out what works. As others have said, it’s meant for a group though.
