Can you solo on this one easily?
I'm a casual RPG player and while I tried I couldn't easily progress through other D&D games with a whole party to manage, as I'm way to used to solo and develop one unique character.

I'm wondering how Baldur's Gate 3 fares for solo players, I do expect it to be a bit harder but not too much, this is why I want to know if the game can be completed by an average player with one character alone.

Please be gentle ;)

Is there a "Lone Wolf" style feat?

Theres a story mode difficulty which is probably enough to make it possible without too much thinking, or at least with one other character

you will be losing out on a big part of the game through not having a party with you

Yes you can solo

I guess a Paladin might be the class to play in the event of a 'Lone Wolf' option.

Depends on which difficulty. If the easiest is as easy as DOS2 easiest then sure, without a problem. At tactician though, it's problably gonna require some time and effort but certainly doable.

Yes.

It can be solo'd, but it'll be a significant challenge compared to using a party. This game really isn't balanced around that sort of thing. It's a turn-based game, so you're going to have 1/4 the turns you otherwise would.

Probably not. Encounters are made for a party, so you will always face several mobs, which means multiple sets of actions to your one. The save system makes sure that you won't save against everything, and what gets usually dispersed throughout a party will all come to you. Maybe with lots of save scumming?

If I want to play a single character I'll play a real time game like Grim Dawn or Diablo, I like turn based games for controlling a full party in combat.

None that we know of so far. Solo in BG3 is simply playing at 1/4 power. The only real upside is consolidation of money and items on one character.

In EA it was easy to solo abusing stealth mechanic.
We don’t know for sure if they fixed it or not. We know they made some changes.

There is no lonewolf fear on dnd 5e.

Still there are many ways to exploit the systems in this game.
So fighting fairly? I doubt you can solo.
Gaming the systems? For sure you can solo.
But you must know the game first, so I would not recomend it on 1st playthrough.

Probably, though it's not really meant to be done given that you're supposed to have a wide variety of skills to solve issues. Though you can probably use violence to solve the vast majority if not the "best" outcome.

I think specific builds would need to be played, I don't see a Wizard or any magic class doing this, you're always outnumbered even with a party of 4, you'll be out of spells slots every two encounters.

I doubt it. Enough stunlock options to block all your actions. I will say that it is near impossible unless you are extremely lucky. Add to that what Morgian above me says...

There is a fight in act 1 underdark/grimforge that would be extremely difficult to solo even on the easiest difficulty. Not because of the boss, but because of how you kill him.

Honestly dnd is designed as a group game. You will eventually get overwhelmed by enemies.

It would be a nightmare and you would miss 1/2 of the game. I would not recommend you waste your money to solo this game.
