Hit die system for this game?
So, what is the hit dice system for this game? Half of maximum hit die + constitution modifier on level up, 3/4 of maximum hit dice + con modifier, maximum hit dice + con modifier, full hit dice + con modifier or random of maximum hit dice at level up? And is there an option to define it yourself?
Thank you.

Each class gets a die type for hit point D12 for Barbarians, D10 for Fighters, Rangers, Paladins, D8 for everyone else, except for Sorcerers or Wizards who only get a D6. You get maximum hit points (+con bonus) at first level and then half (round up + Con bonus) at each level there after, if you raise your con bonus it retroactively awards you any bonus hit points you would have earned had you had it from the beginning.

So As a fighter with a 16 con you get 10+3 at first level, then 5.5 (rounded to 6) +3 (or 9 if you prefer) at each level there after. Should you raise your Con to 18 you would get one extra hit point for each level you missed.

It's the fixed number you can choose instead of rolling in the PHB- so half the max roll on the die plus 1. 4 for d6, 5 for d8 and so on.

Sorcerers and Wizards are lucky it used to be D4's back in the day to determine their hp also they didn't automatically get a full 4 hp at level one. At least never played with a DM that did that. So if you rolled a 1 hp thats what you had.

The game uses the half+1+Con mod average rule with the first level being the maximum possible result.

Short Rests, which is where you'd normally use hit dice to heal, as of the Early Access build restore 50% of your maximum HP, and you're limited to two between long rests.

You just gain one character level at a time and pick a class when you level, there's no multiclass 2e craziness where it gets divvied up between your classes
