Auto follow in MP - requested since Div 2

Title.

I wondered if Larian has saw fit to put this in BG3? I don't know why this request has gone ignored so long given the fact NPC's follow you and this is simply a case of requesting the same function by way of a toggle or command in MP.

Some may overlook its use/need but the fact is for people like myself who are very new to BG3 playing with veteran RPGers both of board games and video games ... this would allow me to not sandbag them while having freedom to check inventories etc and be "near" the party ....

Perhaps it's not as simple as it seems but from what exists already and given it was requested in their last game too .. it's a strange thing to not have done by now.

-Auto follow for party members in multiplayer - is it in? have they mentioned it?

It is not, it's the same as divinity 2. The only way to possibly get them to auto follow is to take control of them in the session window, but I think you may have to still leave at least 1 character controlled by each player so unless they leave your game you can't do it.

This would make multiplayer so much more organized if you could just even follow the party leader (session host), that seems to be how the npc's work. Surely it wouldn't be too laborious to make it a feature for other non-npc members of the party to fall in line with the rest of the group if they want to

Players has been requesting this function for years and sadly that they haven't made this as of yet

I want this function too. Since my bf is the leader and I am currently ahead from the story compared to him. I just want him to experience the game while my character is just auto following. I would just move manually when it comes to fights or looting
