The good question is : Play with a controller is it good with the Steam Version ?
(i have already to much subscriptions)
Or a new pc etc.
And divinity original sin 2 played also great with a controller on ps4 atleast
So i think that this game will also be fine with the controller support
And if not i just need to live with it
I only play games with a controller
ahhh the joy of those wonderful excusivity deals
Avoid geforce now, cloud gaming needs to die asap.
You could try it for a very short period, then refund it in less than two hours. But I don't have much hope at all for a good 4k experience with that laptop. Better to enjoy it on the PS5 in my opinion.
Then i go wait Another month for the ps5 release
and try to avoid all spoilers 😅
This will be a long month 🙈
The burning ship in the very first section is pretty performance heavy so you can confirm with the 2 hour time you have to refund if it doesn't work.
1. Firstly, the laptop RTX4050 is approximately equal to the laptop RTX3060 in performance at around 110w (about middle of the road), with some small variation at different power levels.

2. The RTX4050 can get about 50fps at 1440p in Baldur's Gate 3 in native rendering and ultra settings.

This is without DLSS.
Therefore, we can reasonably conclude that the laptop RTX3060 should be able to manage 4k at least around 50fps with DLSS quality or balanced and high to ultra settings.
In real terms, I bet the 3060 and PS5 experience in BG3 is roughly similar, because of DLSS and the game's relatively low vram requirements.
For this game, personally, I would definitely lean towards PC over PS5.
I would think 1440p is doable, but you might have to tweak the setting and maybe drop down to medium on most things to maintain 60fps.
30fps should be no problem on almost any setting.
