If I made a 'vampire hunter D' character

What class would it be? At first, I thought maybe Fighter/Warlock. But would Sorceror or Wizard make more sense?

I realize D&D doesn't quite translate into most other fiction, but I was watching one of those 'Marvelous Videos' on youtube about Vampire Hunter D. That got me thinking about D, and what class or multi-class he might be.

Anyone else want to take a stab at it?

Eldritch Knight Fighter, maybe? You could fight in Melee and RP the Shield spell as Left Hand magically helping you.

Fighter/Warlock or Rogue/Warlock sounds about right. Just don't forget about killing Astarion. Can't show any mercy to vampires, be it a mere spawn or a full vampire.

Other than all the vampires he did show mercy to across the 30-something novels and two movies :P

Oh, I'm not exactly an expert on the character so I just assumed he got a full on vendetta on vampires.

Nah, he was just a bounty hunter who also happened to be half-vampire. Most vampires and other creatures were worth killing, but there were occasional exceptions for various reasons.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm excited for August 3. That's my friday, so I probably won't be playing until the 4th. But it's worth the wait.

Blood Hunter but its not in the game...
