Exactly companions will most likely change their views on the world depending on how you interact with them and help or harm them, Be a nice person most still with you might change their ways vice versa, At least that's what I got from the last panel from hell.
Here is what I got from playing the beta:
Lae’zel - Neutral/Evil
Astarion - Evil
Wyll - Good
Shadowheart - Good
Gale - Good
Karlach - Good/Neutral probably?
Jaheira - ??
While alignments don't exist in 5e, I'll try to give you an idea of the companions.
Laezel - Lawful evil
Astarion - Neutral evil
Wyll - No idea, some good alignment? Maybe Chaotic neutral. Mostly his alignment is Warlock, who knows about these guys.
Shadowheart - Neutral. While she worships an evil goddess, she doesn't approve of all-out evil acts and likes when you do some good things. Mostly just wants to stay out of trouble and doesn't want to go out of her way to help people.
Gale - Neutral good
Karlach - Chaotic good, most likely. Hard to say without seeing her in-game.
Jaheira - Neutral good. I think the only reason she wan't Neutral good in the previous games was because of her Druid class requiring True neutral alignment.
Hope that helps.
Lae’zel - Lawful Evil
Astarion - Chaotic Evil
Wyll - Lawful Good
Shadowheart - True Neutral (And she can be convinced to be Good or Evil in-game)
Gale - Chaotic Good
Karlach - ??? Good
Arguments I think could be made for Gale and Wyll both being Neutral Good rather than Chaotic or Lawful Good, but they're definitely both Good at the end of the day.
Shadowheart might start off a little more Evil than Neutral also, but she can be convinced to approve of doing Good things fairly easily so I like to think of her as Neutral at heart at the start.
As seen in panels from hell and interviews the choices in your game may impact if a companion stays or goes and as there are so many there is no way of telling at this point how all these choices interact with your companions regardless of their alignment.
Also remember if for some reason you make a choice that forces a companion to leave and your like oh crap I no longer have a rogue or healer. You can repsec as many times as you want also there will be hirlings you can get to fill the missing roles.
If you are worried about missing certain characters stories, this will add to the replay factor of the game where you can play again and make different choices for different outcomes and also play as that companion that left and still see their story just through their eyes.
Lae'Zel - Lawful Evil
Minthara - Lawful Evil
Astarion - Neutral Evil
Wyll - Chaotic Good
Karlach - Chaotic Good
Minsc - Lawful Good
Shadowhart - Neutral
Jaheira - Neutral Good
Gale - Literally Satan
Characters, both real life and well written NPCs, are too complex to fit into one of nine boxes.
Example:
What is the alignment of Elon Musk?
Is he neutral good? I mean he gave us ubiquitous electric cars. Thats certainly a good deed.
Is he chaotic evil? Some may argue that how he acts as Twitter CEO is very not nice.
Is he lawful good? He certainly pays his taxes.
