So Monk, Sorcerer and Bard are the only non-companion classes?
So i looked at the full party companion list, and it seems these are the other 3 classes no companion is using so far. Well this influence anyone elses first class?

That we know of.

i imagine there will be more companions than what has been shown. Hell, I imagine Imoen will be a companion if shes still alive, you could easily justify her being a sorcerer. Being alive on the other hand might be harder but being a child of a god might extend her life or something idk

Of the 10 companions revealed, yeah. But Larian hinted there would be more.

I have no idea if the party list is for EA or full release but maybe there's plans to add companions in the full release version (or they've already been added) that are of those missing classes?

It won't change my choice, I was set on a monk since they revealed them.
A Gnome Bard, a Dwarf Sorcerer, and a Halfling Monk will be in the full game.

No, I am not basing this off of anything other than hoping we get some short party members.

Make one of those shorties a goblin and you've got yourself a deal.

Bard and Sorc would actually make a good starting class for your first playthrough. They're both Charisma based classes so you can win most dialogue options. Also, you can take note of where the Belts of Hill Giant Strength and similar Strength boosting gear is, so you can dump stat strength on your next playthrough and get the belt quickly if you play a Strength based class on your 2nd playthrough.

But yea, of the companion classes we know of, Bard, Sorc and Monk are the only ones MIA.

You can run 2 Druids in a party, I'm pretty sure you could even run 3 of the same class in a party and still be fine for the most part. 4 might be pushing it though.

Would that I could! Would that I could...

You misspelled Kobold.

Who knows? Maybe the midget lovers will get a romanceable dwarf, gnome, or halfling companion?
Dremall Jul 31, 2023 @ 7:49pm
Alfira should have been a companion.

We could get companions of those classes later, but nobody knows for sure yet. They haven't really shown them if they exist, so companions of those classes would be a surprise.

I like you, Link. You're playin' monk and you advocate for furry species to be in the game.
But Kobolds, they're like little dragonborn. We don't need that. What we need is thicc gobrin thighs.
