Ya I read that, they didn't specify whether or not there were 4k textures though, they just talked about how cinematic camera angles work, and never specified that textures came in at 4k. As most the time, a lot of devs say 4k support, but rely on features like DLSS and AMDFidelity to upres their 1080p/2k textures for 4k users.
There is slight noticeable difference from 1440p but not a great deal.
I dont think Larian put alot of time into optimising the game for 4k resolution.
I have a rtx3080 and the game runs very stable at 4k 50-70 FPS
