I don't care if you can change your pronouns in this game. Though I found myself ♥♥♥♥ a thought I would not be able to justify it if I kept it to myself. If they added pronouns for the purpose ensuring you could Play it your way, and not to pander to the alphabet mafia. Why can I not pick which hand I primarily use in game?

Just to verify populations ♥♥♥♥ a quick google search (I went a bit overboard)
10%-15% left handed
5% trans
7.1% gay
12.5% black
2%-6% redheaded
14.5% men over six feet
30% men under 5 foot eight

Edit: to be a hundred percent straight with you all I support people doing whatever they want with themselves to include being called whatever they want.

The flag has gotten so insane no one knows what any of it means anymore. Just pick one of the colors or lines and say it represents the left hand, and claim discrimination and hate speech against anyone who disagrees with you.

Well, they'd have to go and capture a whole other set of left-handed animations if they wanted to make it look right, with all the same costs and overhead it took them to do the right-handed ones.

So, I can see why that's not in.

IIRC pathfinder wrath of the righteous does have choose hand option in character creation, no clue if it works with the animations though.
I'd guess that's the reason for it, you'd need to animate for both the right and left

Fair that is the main reason no one ever adds it into a video game, but with the resources they have built this game with and the "dedication to detail and character creation" you think this would be possible.

It's less about it being possible and more if they have time and resources to spare with all of the other mocap and animation tasks that need doing for the core experience to be complete.

This is the real answer. It would take several hundreds of hours to capture/create believable animations. On the other side of the house, you can just create a tickbox that serves little purpose other than to appease a very vocal minority.
