I'll be giving my tiefling a more lore friendly name myself.
My bard is called Dancing Fool and i get to introduce myself as it in game. :D
Interesting, my tav option has always been greyed out for some reason but I've never spent long in character creation in EA preferring to wait for full release to but serious effort into my character.
(now that's a joke that makes me feel old)
This is correct, you can choose to play as a character created by larian or origin characters as they're called.
Most likely because how its built in EA, not very logical and can be missed easily. Also i think some action reset it, i think race change. It should be fixed at release, the rebuilt the whole character creation.
Swen's dog is named Gustav and before it was announced BG3 was known as 'project Gustav'
Tav is just the shortened version of Gustav. So basically it's an homage to Swen's dog.
Holy crap, that is awesome. Larian has done so many things right with this game, makes you wonder why no one did it before.
Now I ahve to decide origin character or created one....
Seems like origin would be more interesting with another story line possible, where as a created character would allow me to role play, but not have a voice actor or a storyline.
Hmmm....
