are there any more party members?

so from what i know the party members are the ones in the EA and another one thats a barb.
are there going to be a party member for each class? it would be nice as i heard the characters story and missions do expect you to be able to do everything that class can do. ei maybe a big str check or smt.
i might just be wrong in what i have heard but i wanted to ask. no1 wants a blank piece of paper in their party instead of a character with voice, personality and their own input on things

There have been 10 total shown. Laezel, Shadowheart, Astarion, Gale, Wyll, Karlach, Minthara, Halsin, Minsc and Jaheira. They've hinted there are a couple others, and people have theories one or more of the major villains might be recruitable, but no one knows for sure.

oh then im behind. all i knew was karlach as im pretty sure that was the bardarian ontop of the ones we got in ea.
am i safe to assume that none of their classes overlap?

they added extra companions to DOS 2 with patches, so maybe same here. Minthara & Halsin are mutually exclusive i think, couldn't work out a way to get both of them

jaheira is a druid / fighter so overlaps with halsin and laezel

There is some class overlap. Halsin and Jaheira are both druids, but presumably with different subclasses. All party members can be re-rolled to whichever class you prefer in gameplay, but for story purposes they'll still be considered as the default.

They did what now? DOS2 never patched in any extra companions after the 1.0 release.
