Edit: and Larian made a joke about the most common character being a human fighter when there were all the other 'exotic' options available. They never were upset lol.
You don't need any reason to exchange humans with exotic cat people.
They never replaced the humans with tabaxi stats though.
honestly i was initially against this change but I think tabaxification can add nice depth to the stories of these companions so I am less upset now
maybe larian knows what they are doing
