Is it true Larian replaced Humans with Tabaxi?
I heard that Larian was upset that most players picked lawful good human fighter in the early access and so they removed variant human starting feat from the game and replaced them with tabaxi.

Is this true?

Nop

Nope they never had the variant human just the other more boring one that no one ever uses in dnd.

Nope. They tried to nerf humans but ended up making us stronger instead. Now we can carry 20 more lb/kg/whatever than every other species. This allows us to juggle goblins, halflings and gnomes all at once.

Tabaxi can't do that, so don't even try.

Sadly that isn't true. Humans are boring.

I don't think a race being "boring" is a good enough reason to replace them with exotic cat people.

You are just the mark... I mean dicerning customer... I have been waiting for. What if I told you that for the low low price of a mere 100k you could be the proud new owner of a bridge in New York City? Imagine the income possibilities as you add a meagre 1 dollar toll?...

Don't believe every ridiculous thing you see, hear, or read on the internet. And watchout for Nigerian princes asking for your help to get their wealth to the US...

Edit: and Larian made a joke about the most common character being a human fighter when there were all the other 'exotic' options available. They never were upset lol.

It is. Humans in D&D are boring and must be purged. Knife-ears too.

Yes, it's true! This of course had the unintended coincidence of altering Human-derivative races like Tiefwings and Hawf-Ewfs. Wyww Shadowheawt and Kawlach have all received substantial reworks as a result but returning fans of the series might be incensed by Jaheiwa's new look.

God I wish that was true :D

You don't need any reason to exchange humans with exotic cat people.

They never replaced the humans with tabaxi stats though.

Some couldn't handle the bear scene. Imagine how they'd react to Tabaxi romance.

hmm

honestly i was initially against this change but I think tabaxification can add nice depth to the stories of these companions so I am less upset now

maybe larian knows what they are doing
