my geuss is the final cutscene is simply generated depending on what choices you did during your playthrough. No need for AI, just clever code.
I hope there will be at least one bad premature ending when you simply mess up
Imagine the game like a spider web, everyone starts on the different outer thread, and everyone tries to get into the middle, you can jump back and forth between different threads (plots), and it evolves based on your decisions.
The REAL endings are in the low double digits.
20 REAL ones?
Not specified the excact number.
Even low double digits strikes me as surprisingly high.
My guess is
Ending for each companion if they are romanced. Endings for solo.
Ending if you are good / evil, if you are dark urge and resisted / gave in.
And if you used or have not used tadpoles.
Not that I'll finish Starfield either.
I feel you, I finish maybe every 5th-10th game I start these days.
BG3 could actually be the exception again.
I totally agree, but it would still be great if it had more than just one real ending (which I strongly believe it does).
Quibbles aside, how many endings do you think it will have?
Thanks for the link to this interview!
"In reality, the number of true endings will be in the very low double-digits, with thousands of possible variations depending on how you make your way through the game"
That's massive if truly more than 10 "real" endings.
We really don't want to endure the 3 Mass Effect 3 endings anymore...
