Pimp My Build: Tempest Sorcerer (2/10)
I am going to be a Tempest Sorcerer Drow with a background in Guild Artisan. Str 8 / Dex 12 / Con 14 / Int 8 / Wis 15 / Cha 17. Proficient in the three skills I really want: Insight, Persuasion, and Perception. I like to "dialogue to win". Will go Cleric 1, Sorc 2-4, Cleric 5, Sorc X. Will nab the bonus stat in Act 1 and go Cha to 18 and at level five take Observant for Wis and more perception bonuses.

A heavy armor beast with twinned lightning spells. Massive burst recoups on short rests.

Thoughts to improve?

As a start- if you're going to be wearing heavy armor, you don't get any Dex bonus to AC so there's not much point having it above 10 unless you're really worried about dexterity saves.

Quick q. Why two odd AP scores? Can use the 2 points needed to bring charisma to 17 to put Wis up to 16, making them both +3s, then bring cha to 18 at lv4.

It's really weird to me that heavy armor apparently doesn't have a stat requirement. I'm not counting on that actually being true until I see it in 1.0. Regardless, I worry that wearing plate+shield and your other magical gear may be too much for 8 strength.

Other than that, this seems functional. I may have skimped on the wisdom, but you have a specific skill need in mind for that wisdom score, so it's certainly relevant.

I am adding the extra points in dex for initative. I could have pumped up int to 10, but the extra dex bonus seems like a good choice for a combat heavy game.

The odd AP scores are because you get a +1 early in Act I and because feats are nifty to raise a stat one point and gain additional perks.

Yeah, it all depends on if we need strength for different armors. I am hoping it doesn't change ;)
