I really wish on Steam "releasing on Day X" would mean that as soon as it is Day X in your timezone, you can download it. Alas, it never is that way.

Or it is simply because Steam is American and so it's only the 3rd of August on Steam when it is the 3rd of August in the US ;)
No, there isn't mate.
Games with EA never have a preload.
However here's the publishing director hyping up an upcoming answer to the question 'will be be preloading?' when he could have just ignored the tweet or said now.
