ranger
Weapons: Simple weapons, martial weapons

anything else?

edit: you know what, for full clarity

light crossbow & shortbow: simple weapons

hand crossbow, heavy crossbow, and longbow: martial

they literally get prof in every single bow type.

Can you not take Archery at Level 2 as a Ranger? That's 5e rules.

This. If a class has both martial/simple weapon proficiency they can use ever weapon in the game.

Their very reason to be is to create waves as to feel alive in those strange times we live in.

Are you sure? I played a human Ranger in EA and it seemed fine using a bow.

You realise bows are Martial weapons which Ranger gets.

Did you take the OP seriously? Then the sarcasm on my answer was lost on you too.
I've seen people actually that dumb around here so it's hard to tell when/if Poe's Law is in effect.

This quote seems funny given you did not realise bows fell into the martial weapons proficiency.

with the absolutely clownhouse most topic creators are? it's safer to assume actual ignorance of someone who has never played D&D

since ranger bow use came up i had a question regarding longbow and small/tiny creature use, is the game making you have disadvantage on attack rolls as per the rule book?

Me too but... hmm... the entire OP sounds like bullocks.
I mean, since when is there a mod to give martial proficiency to rangers? ;)
The ironic thing is that if they had complained about Rogue not getting Longbow access without the race bonus it would have been valid (since Rogues only get Shortbows since those are simple).

But by saying "Ranger" it just becomes a "I can't read" thing and meme or no it's just low tier dumb imo.
