I have to be honest: I like it. I know I'll swallow my words down the line when fights get harder but standing inside a huge-a**-aoe spell by a friendly character and not get hit would somehow shatter the entire immersion ... at least for me.
Not gonna lie i wish i had fireball when going into the goblin camp and using it on the hobgoblin guy with like 8 adds.
Yeah, I def. know what you mean.
Magicians have to be used very carefully - luckily I have learned a lot from DOS2 in that regard.
And I just want to share the gift of flame with my enemies like I am Prometheus sharing the secret of fire with Mankind.
My enemies are so overwhelmed by how amazing a gift it is that they sometimes fall over, awestruck by it's grandeur as it purges them of all impurities!!

Is what I say, but in reality I just like blowing my friends up.
I like it. It makes sense and it's provided for some frustrating but also funny moments when playing with friends.
