This goes for any attack roll you make, whether it be melee, ranged, or a spell attack roll
Shadow is my healer, I count on her for basically nothing. Honestly I think I would rather a bard as its rare I need to use ever turn on healing... I think that only happened in the arcane tower cause they focused Gale.
Light does not take concentration.
I haven't seen a situation where I couldn't see a melee target well enough. Very important for range, I think probably optional for melee.
Sure about that? Neither Light or Daylight spells require concentration, at least according to the wiki:

Sorry, Dancing lights does, but as said, the basic light spells don't seem to.
