My kid is due to be born any day.
Welp, guess he's going to be learning how to play DnD pretty much straight out of the womb.
"Now son....this is a gnoll...."

EDIT:
My wife says thanks for all the love and she's amused by everyone's name suggestions. Keep them coming.

When my kid was born my wife and I took alternate days staying up so the other could sleep all night. When it was my go, I'd bring the bassinet into my office and put up blackout curtains around it. Then I'd get to stay up all night and game, only needing to stop to feed, change, etc. Got some good gaming time in and made the whole early months pretty easy for me.
Wait, you'd just pull all-nighters every other night? Is it really that bad?

Babies have to feed and poop pretty frequently. They also randomly cry for reasons... or for no reasons. Assigning someone to be on duty that night and alternating makes a lot of sense. It sounds better than both being awake and trying to catnap in between the crying. You could also roll ones (so to speak) and find your baby is colicky and just cries and cries and cries. Mine were a little bit of this but I heard others that had it worse.

Man, good luck on trying to sneak in that BG3 playtime xD. Congrats tho thats cool.
No need to sneak. Wife's a gamer, too. We both have the game. She'll understand as long as I let her have game time, too.

Imagine rolling all 1s during insemination. Big loss for all involved

That's kind of where I'm at. I have insomnia as it is, so I'll be fine.

I'm sure you'll be good. Still takes a while to get used to the crying and stuff, but you'll get used to it. Something that was told to me is the best quality any parent can have in the early stages is patience. Patience with the new kid. Patience with your spouse. Patience with yourself.
I've got a disabled cat who cries in the middle of the night, needs baths pretty often, needs help going to the bathroom, etc. She's at least prepared us somewhat for random wake up calls at ungodly hours lol

Astarian makes for a good middle name.

Kind of grateful the game is coming out around the same time because it will help us both find time for ourselves without even having to leave the house.

Middle name is locked in already, but first name isn't yet.

Well, I'll just go ahead and suggest my own name - Leon. Feels kind of weird to do but I do like my name lol.

How about Elminster? So he will grow to be wise, and will prattle on and on his wisdom...to all who are nearby...lol

Adamantine call him Adam for short.

Kidding aside, here are a few favorites of mines (Never had kids, and never will. But I did go through that phase of 'OMG the clock is ticking! Ovulate Quick!!' LOL)

Anyway, My #1 would be : Adonai for a boy (it mean:Literally, my Lord; spoken in place of the ineffable name Yahweh.). Ary for a Girl. (Short for Aryelle and it mean: lion of God)
