If you want to be an effective support class though, can't go wrong with going pure caster like SkitariI said.
Druid is really versatile in my opinion, what I would main for support.
Druid/Cleric has natural synergy as both use WIS for casting, probably what I'd do for a multi-class support character.
In tabletop some people go 1 level of druid or 2 levels of ranger to get Good Berry and then take life cleric for the mad healing it can provide, However it is a somewhat dubious combination, even though Jeremy Crawford (the lead designer of D&D) said he would allow it his table. That said it wouldn't work well in BG3 because Good Berries don't work the same way as in tabletop, they heal for more, but you get less of them and they don't get the benefit from Life Cleric (I tried it using Druid Initiate)
Champion Fighter with improved crit could be fun to combine with warlocks mortal reminder that frightens everyone when you get a crit also.
war cleric/6 spor druid 6
wild barbarian9/ sword 3 - a bit harder to do with the new stats i guess... only worth it if wild barbarian level 10 sucks and you have no other character that could use volos eye... if level 10 doesnt sux your better off going fighter 2
