Class Mixing
I need some good ideas of classes that could be mixed that would make sense. Please help a fool who just wants to be a good support class.

TBH, if you wanna play support choosing a Full Caster (except Warlock) and sticking with it is probably the way to go. All of them have buffs and controll spells and will do the supporting better as a pure class, because you get better spells and more spells slots than a Multiclass.

I have a personal, completely irrational love for bard-barian.

If you want to be an effective support class though, can't go wrong with going pure caster like SkitariI said.
Druid is really versatile in my opinion, what I would main for support.
Druid/Cleric has natural synergy as both use WIS for casting, probably what I'd do for a multi-class support character.

You could do something like Sorcerer and take a few levels of either Bard or Paladin to pick up spells like Heroism or Bless, healing word or cure wounds, but generally as support you really want to go single class, to get the best buffs possible.

Uhg Wizards NEVER mix. Wizards stick with their own kind. All other classes are lesser and stupid. Wizards Rule! Sorcerers Drool!

In tabletop some people go 1 level of druid or 2 levels of ranger to get Good Berry and then take life cleric for the mad healing it can provide, However it is a somewhat dubious combination, even though Jeremy Crawford (the lead designer of D&D) said he would allow it his table. That said it wouldn't work well in BG3 because Good Berries don't work the same way as in tabletop, they heal for more, but you get less of them and they don't get the benefit from Life Cleric (I tried it using Druid Initiate)

Starting with 1 level of rogue can compliment many builds by giving you extra skill proficiencies and expertise which can be good for any character. I'm thinking of starting with one level rogue so my main character can make many types of skill checks but then going all Dex based fighter.

Champion Fighter with improved crit could be fun to combine with warlocks mortal reminder that frightens everyone when you get a crit also.

ancients paladin7/sword 5

war cleric/6 spor druid 6

wild barbarian9/ sword 3 - a bit harder to do with the new stats i guess... only worth it if wild barbarian level 10 sucks and you have no other character that could use volos eye... if level 10 doesnt sux your better off going fighter 2

Bard with college of valour would serve as a solid caster with good combat capability. If you want more, you can go Bard 10 Paladin 2, Paladin 2 opening up the ability to use your spellslots for smites for extra damage.
