thank god for mods to get us to level 20
as there is no way the trash fire level cap being 12 is anything else then being lazy and boring

NOTHING is challenging about BG3 apart from character creation. You would have to have 0 knowledge of D&D to find BG3 a challenge. 5e combat is about as easy as you can get.

I'm sorry, but this is not Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, go play that then tell me BG3 is a challenge.
WotR is challenging? Only if you don't have a clue.
You sound angry.

Let me decide what's boring for me. Besides the fact that you severely underestimate modders. They can set levels of enemies to make this possible.
They can also tweak the gained experience.
you need a modder who know rules very well to set you up for a good mod and i am sure people are there but its alot of work you are asking . it will prob take months

They really don't need that at all. They need to raise the level cap and potentially the XP gain. That's all.

Well, we do see a Dracolich in one of the trailers, so there will certiantly be epic encounters in this game of some kind.

I personally hope for encounters like that witch in Divinity 2 who will kill your shining lights nigh-instantly if you aproach her unprepared

Unless those tadpole powers seriously makes us a power to reckon with then any Dracolich will stomp out party even at lvl 12.

Maybe excluding wyrmling Dracoliches...
Not really, an Adult Red Dracolich is CR 17 and worth 18,000 XP which puts it as a "Deadly" level encounter, which is the stage above Hard and below Absurd. Deadly encounters are the norm for our D&D adventure guild so it's not implausible in the slightest that 4 level 12 characters would be able to take down a Dracolich.

An increased cap mod would be neat, I guess. The one thing I've always felt didn't feel right in D&D was that some classes or levels don't have much gain to them, like I feel there should be more feat options or something else interesting instead of more hp and some passive class ability thats just kind of eh. Leveling can feel slow overall and long stretches of nothing interesting. Wizards should have balanced around more feat picks.

Why do you people treat this game's combat system (if you can call the game largely playing itself combat) like it's up there with souls games or other action combat? Granted i have a 85% chance to hit in a souls game but thats due to personal skill. You can easily cheese this game without mods or cheats by just party comp.

If you played D&D IRL ... the DM wouldn't like ... let you walk into town... realize "Oh snap ... they're KILLING US so bad..." and then go farm side-quests and crap for 5 more levels ... and then waltz through town and 1-shot everyone while singing showtunes...

This is not the game for you if the encounters are balanced for a lvl 12 party... and you make all 4 characters lvl 20 ... Just use a cheat engine at that point ... give Eldritch Blast a +20 to hit .... make it 100d100's of damage... make it chain to every enemy within a mile ... why are you playing a Tactical game if you just throw a fit and go "It's too hard... I'm going to be level 20 to make it easy mode" ...

You likely got frustrated in Act 1 from the 'challenge' and threw your hands up in the air and went "FINE! I will be OP then and enjoy the game!" .... Not the game for you.

Maybe so, but they bought the game and they don't really affect anyone else with those mods so you don't need to judge them for it. Just let them play the game however they want to, they're not invading your game or anything. Getting all pissy over it when nobody is affected is a waste of time.

Just curious, but do you go and judge everyone who uses mods when they play a game in singleplayer? Be it in a cheating way or just for added fun and content?
