Will BG3 be edgiboi moral philosophy in EVERY quest?
Almost all interactions in early access have had an element of moral ambiguity to them. Will this remain consistent or will there be broader writing in the final release?

Like, cool, everything is tenuous - but that concern kind of dies when it's constant.

How do you expect people who haven't played the full game to know?

You saying you wanna be preached at if you play the "evil" char, and praised for being a good good good good boi if you play as magnanimously as possible?

I honestly can't remember if Larian has a consistent pattern of writing involving moral ambiguity.

Nah, I want the middle path where there are some 'no duh' choices either way so you don't become numb to the moral consequences of your actions.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but I think the game allows you to pick your morality instead of shoehorning you in and then see the consequences of those actions. Do you disagree?

is it "edgiboy" morals to point out that things tend to be in shades of grey for an adventuring party?

like, your gonna do stuff and then face the consequences of it, thats pretty normal for an rpg, both good and bad.

When it's constantly morally ambiguous you can't really decide to be good or bad.

OP sees world in black&white, like old TV's. Must be fun at parties.

I see edges of a bell curve distribution as black and white. Near all quests in early access haven't seemed like a bell curve of morality, more like a flat line at 'ambiguity'.

Larian said that during Act 1 the morality of decisions was relatively clear cut, they said in the later acts things become far more nuanced and/or less obvious.

yeah, everything you do in the EA seems pretty obvious who is good and who is bad, so im a bit confused on the topic in general but like

sometimes good things have weird results, thats life.

I don't get where you're coming from. There were so many times when I could show concern for other people...or side with rampaging goblins...or kill someone for loot. So many clearly good and bad decisions mixed in with "who would be a good leader" and "should I really get involved" type of questions. I think you missed something.

If these things aren't made clear, then most people will miss it.
That's just the reality of why media is written the way it is.

There's ALWAYS a trade-off in like 95% of quests. Like, it's not even impressive writing - it's like David Cage 3rd act twist level of 'whoah' like, it's too common to be impressive.

They have a consistent habit of trying to write moral ambiguity and failing, because they generally confuse morality with ethics, but do a decent job when they try to be humorous.

Sadly, nobody with editorial power seems to have pointed this out to them.
