All I know is...I can't wait to play it.
It's a lot like DOS2 because it's the same developer, but it's a D&D RPG set in the Forgotten Realms with a lot of story and roleplaying options. I liked DOS2 and the original Baldur's Gate games, so a hybrid of the two is something I'm perfectly happy with, but to each their own.
but bg games are so old it's not really a good comparison either way.
