What Companion she will shapeshift to for tricking and killing our Tavs I wonder?

What are your thoughts on it? Trust no - one? What kind of behavior you will look at from very close so you can see if its that red ... whatever she is?

I think this simply means that you really have to pay attention to the personalities of your companions and possibly that of NPCs you meet. If they seem a bit off, it's possible she's taken their form.

At best she's a Changeling.

I,ll hazard a guess and say she's a Greater Doppelganger. They can adopt even the personalities of others which she must be capable of if she,ll be able to decieve players.

Time to hover "hold person" over every humanoid npc, because it doesn't work on changelings and doppelgänger, seeing as one is a fae, the other a monstrosity.

The game is too kind telling you why something is untargetable by certain spells. (also the success % on saving throws and attack rolls, honestly wish that was hidden) and generally how much info you can gain from examining creatures.

Hold Person can't be used on allies, so it wouldn't be much help here. That infobox/tooltip takes priority over "Target is not a humanoid", at least in my game.
