Separate profiles

Does anyone know if we'll be able to create separate profiles in BG3 like you were able to do in DOS2?

I'll be playing with friends online but chances are I'll also do a solo campaign to try some stuff out (not always easy getting 4 ppl together). I really liked the option in DOS2 since you were able to completely separate save files (had one for a solo melee run, one for solo magic run, one for MP run and another to test out class mods etc...), so would be nice to have it in BG3 as well.

It separates save games by character name. Each game gets it's own quick, manual and auto saves so you don't lose anything. Just don't give characters the same name and you should be able to find the character/playthru you want easily enough.

It used to have profiles that you could name but they did away with it in one of the patches.

Not anymore unless they're changing it back for full release. Quicksaves and Autosaves are shared between all of your characters - once you hit the limit they'll start overwriting.

So remember to do Manual saves.
