Its not additive, its multiplicative. So you take half because rage, and that is then halved again by uncanny dodge, so you effectively take 25% of the initial damage, at the cost of your reaction.

Only works on the first instance of damage you take tho, afterwards you only have rage resistance.

Unkillable? Unlikely. Do those effects stack? I don't have enough experience in multiclassing to know that. I know spells don't work while raging, but maybe uncanny dodge could. Someone else would have to confirm that however.

If it were 2 different sources of resistance they shouldn't stack. However uncanny dodge is a different effect, so it should stack...at least according to tt rules.

Fair enough then, then that could be pretty useful on a hp style tank like a Barb. If I'd be willing to sacrifice the amount of levels to get to uncanny dodge however is the other issue. Not sure If I'd personally do it.

Unless BG3 has changed another thing, it's not that spells do not work while raging, it's that you cannot cast spells while raging. So you can cast a concentration spell and then rage and the spell will stay up unless you lose concentration.

you also get an extra bonus action from level 3 thief
so uncanny dodge + another attack
it'd not a bad trade at all

That was the point, you can't cast. I don't feel the absolute need to perfectly spell out everything every time I talk about a subject.
Yes spell EFFECTS still work while raging, but CASTING spells DOESN'T. :er_sad:

I'm not the biggest multiclasser fan. I prefer to work within a classes strengths and weaknesses, and my team and comp are what are designed to overcome any individual issues they may face, not me trying to overpower my character to kingdom come.

Uncanny dodge isn't a spell, so this entire discussion is mute xd

True, not sure why the other person brought it up. All I said was I know spells can't be used during raging as a point to illustrate I don't know how non spell casting abilities interact with rage from multiclassing.

What does uncanny dodge have to do with your bonus actions?

Its got nothing to do with casting either. Its the same as a fighter action surging, or a fighter doing their second attack, or a barb using reckless attack

its just a class feature

Read what I posted in the post he quoted. It makes sense.
Multiple levels of rogue to get to uncanny dodge.
