Its still the best multi for a barb. Action surge, second wind...
Fighter in the first few levels has bonsus other than those that are quite useful to a barb. I'm not sure if you really need it all that badly personally, but I'm rare to multiclass in games.
I might actually recommend a DEX Barbarian/Rogue build. If you start with 16 DEX, 16 CON, you get a pretty solid AC, and you can use the rages to procure sneak attacks.
The numbers may need adjustment depending on what features they implement, but the above combo should be solid.
You mean relentless attack? Rage would do nothing for sneak attacks.
The rogue/barbarian may be better in BG3 than in actual TT because there is a possibility that Larian might have rage apply to any melee attack, not just strength based attacks.
But generally, a Barbarian 10/ fighter 2, or pure barbarian, with GWM and using Medium armor will do better than a Barbarian/Rogue mix.
Lv2 Fighter gives you Action Surge, which is good for pretty much every class in the game. You'd be missing a feat/ASI in the end, though.
