I'm going to say BG3 ends up with a metascore in the 80s, and user review averages which depend on how committed people are to their recreational outrage over queer characters and Larian making a bestiality joke.

No RPGs are so hard to get 10/10, there are so many aspects of an RPG there is always an excuse to down mark.
The Witcher 3 did not get 10/10 and for its time that was on another level.

9 out of 10s is expected, maybe RPG specialist websites will give 10s.

8/10 because scores lower than this don't exist. Story could be not too epic, in the first act events looked way too local and unimportant. Despite a push for "grounded" approach, everybody loves a good epic story with high stakes, like Dragon Age or WotR.

Witcher should have got 10/10, easy. IGN robbed cd-projekt.....
Divinity original sin 2 got 9.6/10 so I think BG3 will get 10, easy. They will also slam editors pick on it.
