There are numerous occasions in the game where you mention "your God,""My God Tyr," and other hints at your deity. 5e DMGB makes it so that Paladins do not have to serve a god/goddess, but that never meant that they couldn't
Even EA has lots of that, just no deity selection. Hopefully the go through with it at full release.
That's called Steam Forums lol (just kidding!). Seriously though, there are options where you can pretty much do that--"I will be the judge," "I will decide what is just," etc. Dialogue options like that that push NPCS to accept your position/authority (and thus the God/Goddess that you represent).
