He got str: 17 ges: 15 Kon: 17 and the rest was on 8 i think.
He was really bad in Dialog stuff most of the time. But he could jump almost over the whole screen later in game.
And he feeled totaly overpowered compared to everyone else in the grp.
Dmg was crazy, he almost never got hit, and even if, he has taken almost no dmg etc.
People told me you cant tank in this game but it works.
Your other 3 people in the grp just need to keep distance and use stealth a lot.
Tanky as my char was i would say yes. Maxing out your mainstats is totaly worth it i think.
With some downsides for sure.
Like i said, dialogoptions where horrible with my dwarf :D Had to fight trough almost everything.
Maybe you want a STR Cleric or a DEX Barb, a more melee focused Bard. It's not min-maxing, it's personal preference.
Want to make a general type of character being fighter? Well if you dont want to be utterly gimped you can only play as a dumb dumb when playing fighter (int is a dead stat). Want to actually role-play and talk a lot in dialog? Well your choice of class have now been extremely restricted.
really on the surface it comes off as you have a lot of choice when it comes to classes in BG3 and stats but truth is that its very very min/maxing in design.
Well, you can play as you want to be honest.
Sure it gets harder in fights if your stats wont match your class. But its possible.
I played a Woodelf Archer Going full on Agi/Int/Wisdom. He was a glasscanon thats true, but he was good in stealth etc. so it was no problem.
Grp was fighting in front and he shot from far away and switched back to stealth.
What i wanna say is, you can play around even if you choose some weird combination of stats.
Only reason i was going for wisdom and int was the dialog options so my archer was able to do many dialog option etc.
Its not the games fault if people always going for that meta crap.
Play what is fun and your good to go.
The only exception will be low INT/CHA Barb for Role Play purpose.
