Find out next week in Baldurs Gate Z!
lol I dunno. maybe there are more? I can't recall any more but it's been awhile.
Canonically all of the Bhaalspawn are dead - however, nothing says he couldn't have made more since.
Aren't the powers of a cleric derived from a god? I thought there was a Bhaal response as a cleric in the game basicaly Bhaal gives you your powers ergo he's alive?
He is alive, and the cult of the dead three are/were still active in Baldur's Gate.
Lots of options that aren't just "Bhaalspawn that somehow survived past Bhaal's resurrection." It's far from obvious what Dark Urge is, other than likely related in some (not necessarily familial) way to Bhaal.
I like that theory! Unfortunately, they are all officially dead according to the lore. Abdel (Gorian's ward) was killed by Viekang (the last Bhaal spawn) and, Viekang was killed by his companions and the flaming fist.
Your response "impossible, the Bhaalspawn are all canonocally dead" doesn't make any sense in the context of the comment you were responding to. How does death of all Bhaalspawn preclude the possibility of Bhaalspawn-spawn existing? There exists a concept called "procreating before you die," which is how 100% of children are conceived.
We know at least one Bhaalspawn, Abazigal, had a child, meaning it's possible for Bhaalapawn to procreate. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian and Viekang alone had over a hundred years to pop out children. The world could be absolutely swarming in Bhaal's grandchildren and great-grandchildren by now.
Okay.
