Will this play well on a RX580?
Just curious if this will run well at all. If you happen to be using something like this, please tell me. I'm on a 5700x which should take the brunt of the games requirements but I'm unsure of how cutscenes and the like will play out.

I bought this card for my friend's computer. Judging by the fact that my 590 showed itself quite normally, I believe that it will definitely be normal at low settings.

I had a 580 at EA release. I could run 1080 high no problem. The release version? Who knows?

It should be fine, depending on whatever resolution you play at and settings you use. If you stick with 1080p with a mix of Med/High it should be fine.

For instance, I'm currently on a 5600x CPU with a GTX 1060 6GB GPU and the EA game runs fine for me at 1080p with a mix of med/high settings. This is purely anecdotal commentary, and I'll admit I'm not checking my fps.... but gameplay and cutscenes I've seen have been smooth for me.

Note: GTX 1060 6GB is nVidia's equiv of AMD's RX580, and both card benchmark around the same in games.

Note: Release version I can't comment on, things might change for the worse, for the better, or not at all.
4k on a RX580 definitely will be rough for some people. 1080p runs fine in my experience.

Hm, depends... on low settings in 1080 should probably be okay, if the game doesn't refuse to launch at all due to lack of VRAM, but high details or higher resolutions, I doubt it.

580 has 8gb of vram.

I managed to make the game run on an RX 560 when i bought it about 1.5-2 years ago.
Was...very very low graph, very slow and stuff but it ran:)
Now with the 6750 X it is way better:)

I have Rx 580 and I can’t make it past any of the cutscenes. I’ve lowered graphics and everything

Your CPU means more than GPU in this game. 580 with 7800x3d most likely run very well. When 4090 with 1800x would be real pain to play!

Perhaps the settings in the AMD Adrenaline driver app are too high or conflicting?

I managed to run BG3 with AMD5600G APU with 16GB RAM, 2GB of those dedicated to built-in GPU.
