Also I totally get the OP. It'd be a non-issue if the mug of MC wasn't shoved into the viewport at every occasion of any dialogue which is always a cutscene. That's also why facial customization is so important (and alas - it's why it's so clear that it's also lacking badly)
What are you talking?! They "shift" into a set expression and "hold" them for several seconds. Like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And worse: it doesn't even fit the conversation (like, he smilies but the conversation went to "my Teacher died... so sad" and he shifts like an ape from A to B)
I would rather have a neutral face when they can't get this right. Damn man, the song was hilariously good for a game, the damn grinning ruined it.
So if I use a gruff Tav voice, their animations match.
