Question about character creation saving and multiplayer

I just bought the game today and I avoided spoilers as much as possible so I have newbie questions. I am coming from playing Solasta (great game BTW, highly recommended) and in that game you can save characters so that I can create several types of characters and save them and then load them into any game I wish.

I read a post from 2020 saying that saving characters is not an option. My question is, is that coming? Also for multiplayer if I host and I invite 2 friends do they create their characters at that time and then everything is saved for the next gaming session?

As far as I know that's not something that's coming. There's not a lot involved with making characters though. You could make a backup of the save or write down what number the face or hair etc. that character has.

For multiplayer, you host, invite your friends and then you all make your characters - all of them will be saved.
