Well if Solasta taught us nothing else, there's no one around your computer catching you rerolling for an hour.
Point buy makes a little more sense in a computer game. But I don't really mind options.

It's beyond the point really. Sure, it's old-school way to do it at tabletop. Main drawback of rolling rule is that you can roll very poorly. DM may let you reroll once or twice, but here you can just game the system and it's hard to resist temptation. Point buy makes way more sense for a video game, even though it's a bit boring system.
