Will Dragonborns have a option to have wings?
I hope so. That would be cool.

Highly unlikely. That would make them extremely powerful on the battlefield with the extra vertical mobility which they would have to include. You can't have wings and have them do nothing gameplay-wise.

You didn't read what I said. The ones with wings or tails are different beings actually born from dragons and are typically evil monsters, not civilized beings like the others races. A dragonborn in that sense should have a tail because of that.
I can excuse a couple choices and not being what I wanted but can be things others may have, but when they just start digging into the lore I've been learning about and coming to appreciate and just throwing it out with the bath water it's more saddening.
Everyone can come in here and shout at me that there's an option to not have one, but them having one makes them a genuinely different being that dragonborn just aren't.
It's frustrating.

DnD is what you make it, that is why it's so great. Larian is a DM who doesn't mind altering the game to let people have fun.

And what do you do if you don't like how the DM is doing their campaign? You look for another group.

They have tail as an option it seems.
Well I don't like that at all. The tail indicates the being isn't a Dragonborn because dragonborn never have tails. They are created beings, and they were created without wings or tails, so having a natural tail also doesn't sit well with me. Man this day is just one sad thing after another it seems. :cozypoesad:
You can choose to not have it.

Honestly i just don't care. Dragonborn lore is pretty stupid and race was very badly done. They are not dragon and not born from them, so we always handwaved their official lore and homeruled into actual draconians.
So we are having dragonborns with tails now. Its nice. Its cool. Tails are awesome.
THAT'S THE POINT THOUGH.... If they were born from them they'd have those things!
They were created by a magical means to be the dragon's slaves on the alternate planet and there are representations on Toriel of the ones that have wings and tails, so it sucks to me that Larian is just mixing and matching that.
I'm too sad for this now. Good night folks.
What is it with being upset about options one doesn't have to use?

And this one is even sillier than most because it's entirely cosmetic.

It's honestly baffling to me that in a game where it's all about choice, there are people who seem to actively hate having the freedom to choose whatever they want, from what they wanna look like to having to deal with the consequence of choice like it's something utterly alien & unknown. Or get mad at people for choosing what THEY wouldn't.

Especially in a D&D game of all things.

I think its the dragonborn option under genita(i)ls.
Be frustrated about a nothing burger, then. Other players choosing to have them in their own games doesn't affect anyone else's campaign.

Some people just get really into the lore, and consider it sacrilege when anyone deviates from it,as they fear something they are really into changing for an audience that doesn't care about the lore as they do if its tolerated.

That's why I make Male Lolth Drow Clerics.
It seems to mess with people despite them actually existing. I find it fun.

Yeah, that would be pretty OP. I can definitely see mods giving them wings and basically turn them into half dragons or draconians though. Outside of mods, isn't there also a spell that grants you wings?

Fly is a 3rd level spell available from level 5 onwards for wizards and sorcerers. Perhaps not visually distinct, but it's there.

Dragon Sorcerers can manifest wings at 14th level, but we're not getting there in BG3 for the moment officially.

Perhaps in an expansion/dlc.

The origin of the dragonborn, the Dragonlance setting had Draconions, which could have wings and tails. It had multiple types of dragonborn and different extremities were presented. They even put out an Unearthed Arcana with feats to add different dragon parts but the purists squashed it for 5e. The 5e crowd is a wild swing from AL corebook drones to gonzo insane experimenters.
I'm always shocked when I hear someone say they don't use 3rd party resources, UA or homebrew for D&D. It's like people who play Skyrim without mods. Disturbing.
